Space to Speak film released

16 September 2021

We’re proud to share this film with you, which documents Space to Speak, the dance and wellbeing project, delivered in partnership with Z-arts in summer 2021.

Reflecting on the pandemic through dance and movement, the project created a special opportunity for young people from Trinity High School in Manchester to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences of the pandemic.

As part of the project, Company Chameleon created new outdoor duet, Void, and the young people – inspired by Chameleon’s choreography and creative process, created their own dance piece called Space, exploring the same themes.

We hope you enjoy the film, click below to watch.

A big thank you to our funders for helping make this project happen. The project was part of Here and Now, a national and local celebration of culture within communities. Supported by Arts Council England and Future Arts Centres, marking the National Lottery’s 25th birthday. www.here-and-now.org.uk | @HereandNow2020
