Call out for freelance dance artists

We’re currently looking for freelance dance artists, to work with us on an ad-hoc basis, to help us deliver our participatory and engagement programme across Greater Manchester.

We’re calling out for practitioners with a range of skills to deliver The Saturday Sessions, our programme for young people, age 4-16, in the first instance, with the possibility of working on various other up-and-coming projects.

We’re seeking dance artists who have experience of working in community and/or educational settings such as:

  • Children and young people
  • Early years
  • Health & wellbeing
  • Integrated practice; learning disabilities & additional needs
ESSENTIAL
  • Qualified to degree level in dance, or an equivalent dance qualification/experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience of designing and delivering dance workshops in community and/or school settings.
  • Excellent delivery skills. Confident and adaptable to teach workshops in a variety of settings for a wide range of people.
  • Passionate and committed to delivering high quality dance experiences with an ability to inspire and engage people through dance.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Reliable, collaborative and able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Self-reflective and committed to continuous development to improve the experience for participants
  • A commitment to Company Chameleon’s vision, brand values and future direction for sessions
DESIRABLE
  • A car user with access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Arts Award Advisor training
