Beyond the Studio

9 January 2024

Beyond the Studio is back for Winter and kicks off this month!

Being a dance maker is not just about perfecting your craft. It involves a whole set of other skills too, such as producing, networking, funding and finance.

Beyond the Studio is our event series to help you develop these types of skills, so you can carve out your career with confidence and make a bigger impact in the industry. Here’s what’s coming up this Winter…

Thu 25 Jan, 6:30-10pm
At Company Chameleon
LONG TABLE followed by OPEN FLOOR
Join the conversation and stay to jam!

Dance makers let’s gather at the LONG TABLE, where conversation is the only course! Hosted by Liz Mytton from Theatre in Flow, this is an opportunity to look at the year ahead and to:

  • Talk about where you’d like to focus your time and energy.
  • Figure out your priorities as a dance artist.
  • Set your intentions for 2024.

After we’ve connected through conversation, we’ll be hosting OPEN FLOOR. In collaboration with the University of Salford, this is an opportunity to jam with improvised live music and dance.
