All the way from Hong Kong, we’re excited to welcome contemporary circus group, TS Crew, to our studio in February for a week of professional development, workshops and performance.
Combining acrobatics, parkour, kung fu and beatboxing in their choreography, TS Crew create powerful performance experiences, which are a joy to watch.
Having wowed audiences at the Edinburgh Festival, where they received the Best Show Asian Arts Award, TS Crew will perform their production, No Dragon, No Lion at our studio on Friday 9 February, 7:30pm.
During their stay, the artists from TS Crew will exchange skills with Company Chameleon’s dance artists in a week of research and development. Additionally, our youth company, Chameleon Youth, will be introduced to their approach and movement style as part of their youth dance training.
Co-Artistic Director, Anthony Missen, said, “It’s brilliant to be able to showcase international work in our building. We are always hungry for learning and growth, and tasting new practice and forms adds to the palette of what’s possible artistically. This exchange provides not only a great opportunity for the creative teams of both organisations to learn new skills and share our respective practice, but also for our friends and followers to get involved by watching a performance.”
