At Midweek Moves, we hand over our studio to a guest artist to deliver a dance class on Wednesday evenings.

We’re delighted to welcome Night People to deliver Midweek Moves for Autumn 2024!

What to Expect:

Pro-Class – Fun, sociable and physically driven dance classes for dance professionals & students. Think camp, catwalk meets bass heavy anthems meets contemporary dance physicality… all merged together to make you sweat, sing-along and train as part of a community. Bringing dance training that feeds technical/performative needs through improvisation/set material from the Company’s training methodology/clubbing antics. 

Open Level Class – An easy access, sociable, beginner level movement class that is primarily focused on providing access to sassy/fun movement that empowers, connects and makes us all laugh together! Perfect for those who want to try movement sessions for the first time, recovering from injury or for anyone who wants to simply dance for joy, play and fun!

Night People is a cross-art collaboration company based in the North West, fusing worlds of dance-theatre, audio-visual performance and electronic music. We create performance installations, curated events and physical / digital platforms, providing welcoming, safe spaces for immersive connection. Our work explores how movement, narrative & a vibrant use of technology can dramatically transform spaces, capturing a wide audience by using alternative, social spaces that bring art into the heart of the community. Directed by choreographers / creative technologists, Aaron Howell & Daisy Howell, Night People brings performances to audiences that may not usually access traditional art environments, committed to platforming creative experiences that support the empowerment & safety of queer / femme communities within club / electronic music culture.
