We’re pleased to announce that FREE Profressional Level Company Class is returning this Autumn, 2021!
We invite graduates and professionals to push forward their practice and join us for Company Class at our home studio in Manchester, five times a week – Monday to Friday, 10-11:30am.
Classes are fast paced and dynamic, and tailored to the requirements of our own company dancers. We therefore require participants to be of a sufficiently advanced level. Company Class is a fantastic opportunity for high level dancers to maintain their training, whilst also networking with other professionals from the region.
Our Autumn Company Class series is now open for bookings and will run from Mon 1 Nov to Fri 17 Dec.
If you’re a professional dancer or recent graduate this is a fantastic FREE opportunity to push forward your practice in high quality classes which engage a mix of movement styles, focuses and techniques.
The well-rounded training programme will be led by an outstanding teaching team, including our Co-Directors, Company Dancers, Associate Artists and local artists from our home of Greater Manchester.

Train with Karen:
“Start your week with a ballet class that takes you through your paces. We’ll start off at the barre waking up all parts of the body gently, move into centre to find our cores and end class with allegro. My class will make you think of your technique, all the while not losing the element of dancing and flow through each exercise. A feel good class for your body and brain!”
TUESDAYS, 10-11:30am – 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 Nov & 7, 14 Dec
Train with Mestre Papa-Leguas:
“Classes will explore the game of Capoeira – an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines dance, fighting techniques and acrobatics. Sessions will explore foundational movements and flow as well as conditioning, strengthening and mobility sequences. Originally from Brazil, Mestre Papa Leguas has professionally taught capoeira for over 20 years and has established academies throughout the world.”

“My class will get you connected to your body through core strengthening exercises and stretches. I’ll lead you through sequences that ignite your entire body to explore different dynamics, challenge your strength and musicality. The class will end with a final phrase that will leave you feeling connected to your body, sweaty and joyful!” – Juliana
“Find flow whilst rooting down! In my class you will work with a complex movement language which aims to enrich your relationship with the floor. The class emphasises fluidity, while handling intricate functions for moving with, as well as in and out of the ground.” – Dave
THURSDAYS, 10-11:30am – 4, 11, 18, 25 Nov & 2, 9, 16 Dec
Train with Gemma:
“Drawing upon my experiences as a professional dancer with companies including Rambert, The Royal Ballet and Company Chameleon, my class is a dynamic Cunningham-based technique class using muscularity and release to achieve strength and fluidity. As well as working on the articulation of the spine and postural alignment, this class focuses on the ability to switch quickly and efficiently between being upright and strong, and weighted down into the floor.”
FRIDAYS, 10-11:30am – 5, 12, 19, 26 Nov & 3, 10, 17 Dec
Train with Company Chameleon’s Co-Artistic Directors, Anthony & Kevin –
“My class will draw inspiration from the diverse approaches and techniques that I’ve explored through my professional practice. From directed improvisations that develop awareness and articulation, to floor-based material and complex, dense movement phrases that will engage and challenge you with its diversity of approaches.” – Kevin
“My class incorporates strength building and body conditioning exercises before floor sequences that focus on fluidity, efficiency, and finding softness whilst still generating expansive movement. Standing sequences focus on changing dynamic and quality drawing on his experience in a multitude of dance forms and styles.” – Anthony
