At Chameleon, we’re committed to raising the bar for dance in the region. To us, this means nurturing and supporting a diverse community of Dance Artists with different voices, histories and stories. Our Artist Development programme celebrates this commitment.
Each season we offer a variety of training opportunities both in the studio and online. From workshops and mentoring to showcases and commissions, our Artist Development programme is carefully curated to respond to the needs of Dance Artists across the region.

COMPANY CLASS
Push forward your practice in our free professional level class.
BEYOND THE STUDIO
Develop your skills beyond the studio to carve out your career with confidence. Learn about producing, marketing, finance and more.
UPLIFT
Develop new work in our artist-in-residence programme and benefit from funding, free studio space and mentoring.
PROFESSIONAL INTENSIVES
Develop your technique, investigate our repertoire and explore new approaches in masterclasses led by world class dance artists.
STUDIO SPACE
Benefit from special discounted studio hire as a Dance Artist in Greater Manchester. Four dance studios are available, we’re close to Gorton train station, a short train ride from Manchester Piccadilly and we offer free and secure cycle and car parking.
If you need a last-minute space, our new standby scheme allows Dance Artists to access empty studios for just £20 for the day (10am -6pm). To reserve a standby studio call by 5pm the day before. Standby studios can accommodate between one and five people and are only available 24hrs ahead. Find out more about the studios available to hire and rates here.
