Announcing: Spring Scratch

Looking for support or need feedback to develop your work?
Then Company Chameleon’s Spring Scratch is for you!
In May, we’re holding space for Greater Manchester based Dance Artists to develop their work, and test and share ideas in an informal setting.
This is an opportunity to:
- Present / perform up to 15 minutes of an idea in a relaxed performance environment.
- Get feedback from audience members and Company Chameleon’s creative team.
- Benefit from two days free studio space.
- Get one-to-one support in a one hour mentoring session with Emmy Lahouel, Access & Development Producer.
THE DETAILS
The opportunity is open to:
- Dance Artists or companies working across all styles and at any stage of their career.
- Dance Artists or companies based in Greater Manchester*
Selected Artists or companies:
- Can perform / present up to 15 mins with minimal tech.
- Will perform / present work under the same lighting state.
- Must be available Friday 31 May 2024.
*Greater Manchester: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan. If you are unsure, please email emmy@companychameleon.com
We’re particularly interested in applications from people from marginalised communities.
HOW TO APPLY
Simply send us a two min video or voice note to give us an idea of what you’d like to share.
You can provide up to three links to images or videos to support your application. This could be social media posts, rehearsal videos, improvisations, or short clips from full scale shows.
All applications should include:
1)Your/Your company name.
2) Preferred pronouns (for public use).
3) Contact number.
4) Where you are based in Greater Manchester.*
5) A brief outline of your idea.
6) A 50-word bio and headshot/image for use in marketing and communications.
Deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday 28 April 2024.
