OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Role: Artist Development Producer
Contract: Permanent
Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: £25,000 pro-rata (£12,500 per annum)
Holidays: 25 days pro-rata (12.5 days per annum) plus bank holidays
Hours: 2.5 days per week (17.5 hours)
Responsible to: Learning & Participation Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Artist Development Producer, a role focused on supporting artists and creating exciting opportunities for artists across the region!
As our work continues to grow across the city, regionally, nationally, and internationally, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, and dynamic Artist Development Producer to lead an ambitious programme of work.
The Artist Development Producer will take a hands-on approach in creating an exciting programme of classes, workshops, and events that respond to the needs and interests of the dance community in Greater Manchester and beyond.
At Company Chameleon, we’re committed to raising the bar for dance in the region. To us, this means nurturing and supporting a diverse community of Dance Artists with different voices, histories and stories. The Artist Development Producer will bring a clear and creative vision, embracing the opportunity to design initiatives that bring people together to develop their craft and artistry.
From professional classes and workshops, to contact jams and commissions, this role will create meaningful opportunities to support and diversify the Greater Manchester dance community, aiming to strengthen and enrich the regional dance landscape.
The Artist Development Producer will expand our engagement programme in response to the company’s strategic plan and artistic vision. This key role will enable us to deepen our connections at our home studio and across the region, identifying new partnerships and developing opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for producing events and opportunities and will demonstrate a clear commitment to delivering quality and excellence across all aspects of their work.
We are looking for a creative thinker, who can work collaboratively across the whole company, and with external partners.
A strong communicator, good time management skills and a flexible approach, the successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to work well under pressure within a fast paced and growing organisation.
