Company Chameleon secures three years of GMCA Culture Fund support

1 October 2026

As a homegrown organisation, Company Chameleon is proud to be part of the GMCA Culture Fund Portfolio for the next three years.

This comes as part of a £15 million investment GMCA is making in culture across all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester.

The funding gives us the resources we need to invest in our people, our team and our programme of activity, ensuring we can deliver meaningful experiences for everyone we work with.

Company Chameleon is one of 48 local organisations receiving funding from the latest round of Greater Manchester’s Culture Fund, which is investing over £5 million a year across the city-region, including new support for grassroots talent alongside the region’s leading cultural institutions.

Between April 2024 and March 2025 alone, funded organisations delivered more than 6.1 million cultural engagement opportunities, a sign of just how far this investment reaches.

Mayor of Greater Manchester, Bev Craig said the fund is about giving everyone in the region “access to an experience that speaks to them,” with doorstep access to culture, from dance to theatre to live music, having “the power to transform lives and shape communities.”

The funding reflects a growing recognition of the role that arts, culture and creativity can play in the vibrancy and prosperity of our communities.

Our Artistic Director, Kevin Edward Turner MBE says, “I’m absolutely delighted for Company Chameleon to be part of the National Portfolio. This vital support allows us to continue work that matters, work that reaches communities right across the city region.

“With this incredible support, we will be able to lead the way in creating engaging, impactful and inspiring experiences, with work that genuinely touches the lives of people across Greater Manchester.”

In combination with our exciting artistic programme and impactful learning and participation projects, we look forward to an extraordinary three years and contributing to a stronger dance ecology in Greater Manchester.
