Dance for Mental Health and Wellbeing

Company Chameleon have been exploring the relationship between dance, mental health & wellbeing since 2016. Having delivered several successful projects with key partners such as 42nd Street, Arc, Factory International, HOME & Contact Theatre, Company Chameleon are a leading organisation for Creative Health in both the UK and abroad.

Past projects include leading a summer camp for vulnerable young people living with mental health challenges in Prague, creating a performance work in collaboration with unhoused people in Manchester and working with primary schools across West Yorkshire to explore mental health through dance and creativity.

Since 2020 we have been working in partnership with Stockport’s Arc (Arts for Recovery), delivering movement & wellbeing sessions for their adult service users and wider community. The monthly sessions explore the different ways in which movement can allow us to express ourselves and advocates for the positive role that dance and movement can play to support our mental and physical wellbeing.

All movement and wellbeing work is designed to be bespoke, delivering projects that are unique to the group we are working with. If you’re interested in working with Company Chameleon on a Dance, Mental Health & Wellbeing project, contact: sam@companychameleon.com to discuss further.
